Up From the Depths

We wrap up the week with a cool idol of Dagon from from Black Shawarma Shop over on Etsy.

The Innsmouth Relic

Jason McKittrick dives deep into the Special Collections at Miskatonic University to bring us this intriguing "Innsmouth Relic".

"Recovered from beneath the Gilman House, where crude tunnels wound through the foundations of Innsmouth and descended toward the sea. This framed artifact features a weathered marine cult relief, marked with strange glyphs, blue green patina, and barnacle growth from its long exposure to the depths below."

It's available for purchase starting at 6 PM Eastern tonight.  Just click through to get all the details on Instagram.

Innsmouth Resources

Over on Reddit, JoeKerr19 was looking for some help:

"Hey everyone, I'll be running DG soon and I'm looking for as many photographs, archives, autopsy info involving the Raid of Innsmouth. Does anyone has a cache of pictures, files etc? The more the merrier."

That caught my eye because of the rather large number of such resources here on Propnomicon.  Unfortunately, as part of the general enshittification of the internet, Google and other search engines no longer do the kind of deep search that finds most of them.  I'm reposting my answer over there here in the hope they'll start showing up again.

You can find all of these, and a slew of related material, by clicking through on the Innsmouth tag.

Crime in Arkham

I'm shocked, simply shocked, to discover bootleggers are active in the beautiful city of Arkham, Massachusetts.  Abraham Marsh of El Primo de Innsmouth reveals the awful truth with these pictures of his ne'er-do-well cousin smuggling illegal liquor disguised as bottles of maple syrup.

'Tis the Season

Halloween is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than a trip to Innsmouth?  The Haunted Rose is an over-the-top home haunt heavily inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, including an entire section set in the quaint seaside town that serves as the setting for "The Shadow Over Innsmouth".  You can check out their full gallery over here, or attend the event in person October 31st and November 1st in Whittier, California.

"Escape From Innsmouth" Prop Set

"Escape From Innsmouth" was originally released back in 1992 as one of Chaosium's first batch of "Lovecraft Country" supplements.  It builds on the details revealed in Lovecraft's "The Shadow Over Innsmouth".  The supplement includes a complete guide to the Deep One-dominated town and a series of adventures, including a recreation of the infamous raid on Innsmouth at the climax of the original story.

Gallery of Cthulhu brings us this impressive set of physical props he created for a friend running the adventure.  It includes the Book of Dagon, "Innsmouth gold", an idol of Dagon, and a variety of Deep One jewelry.  Click through and scroll down to see some of the details of their creation.

Artifacts of Innsmouth

The talented Jason McKittrick brings us this collection of items from the infamous raid on Innsmouth.  The complete "Artifacts of Innsmouth" collection includes the Oracle of Dagon plaque, the Mother Hydra emblem, the Innsmouth Cthulhu idol, a Shoggoth Totem, and some nifty paper props.  The entire package, and each individual item, goes on sale at 6 PM Eastern tonight.

The Innsmouth Look

Abraham Marsh of El Primo de Innsmouth returns to our pages with this glimpse inside the Esoteric Order of Dagon.  His cousin appears to be undergoing the first stage of the inevitable transition into a Deep One.

Catch o' the Day

Who knows what kind of strangeness might show up when you cast your net off Devil's Reef?

El Primo de Innsmouth returns to our pages with this candid look at a fisherman suffering from a severe case of the "Innsmouth look".

Father Dagon

This nicely weathered idol of Father Dagon comes to us from The Lonely Scarecrow.

Package from Innsmouth

Just the thing for your holiday miniature display.  Jason McKittrick returns to our pages with his latest "Lovecraft Locations" package featuring the Esoteric Order of Dagon Hall and an Innsmouth Priest.

Up From the Depths

This hand-carved wooden idol of Dagon comes to us from Moinot Woodcraft.

Father Dagon, Mother Hydra

Artist Jason Pfeifer brings us his take on Father Dagon and Mother Hydra from the Mythos.

Matron of Innsmouth

Sweet fancy Moses.  It's been over ten years since I first published this retouched image of a woman suffering from the Innsmouth taint.

Now she's been brought to life, and it's amazingly creepy.  Click through to this post from author Steven Ross Craig to see her.  Sadly, I can't seem to get the video to successfully embed here.

What a time to be alive.

Captain Marsh

Abraham Marsh of El Primo De Innsmouth brings us this candid shot of himself aboard his ship the "El Canallita".  I *think* that translates into "The Little Scoundrel" in English, at least according to Google.

The Deep Ones

Brazilian artist Israel Botelho returns with this grimoire page depicting a fully transitioned deep one.  Click through to see the full gallery.

Dagon Cultist Altar

The talented George Tsougkouzidis returns to our pages with this Dagon cultist altar.  Just layer upon layer of squicky textures.  I can only imagine what a nightmare casting this is going to be.

The Favor of Mother Hydra

Jason McKittrick returns to our pages with this cool Innsmouth whaler pendant, a faux scrimshaw depiction of Mother Hydra.  Back when I lived in New Bedford, MA one of my favorite places to visit was the whaling museum.  This would be right at home in one of the artifact displays.

Stone of Dagon

This intriguing artifact featuring Dagon comes to us from artist Peter Burnat.  The hand-carved stone tablet looks exactly like something you would find in a museum collection.

Innsmouth Brawler

If you ever wondered just who Zadok Allen was worried about being seen by in "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", wonder no more.  Abraham Marsh brings us this Innsmouth brawler, clearly touched by the taint.
