This Cthulhu relic from artist Ebrahel Lurci combines two of my favorite things- Gigerish takes on Cthulhu and the worn, heavily textured look of an archeological artifact.

 

Master Wands

These purpleheart master wands from McCormick Wands scream "Drow" to me.  The winding tentacle and purple and black color scheme?  Right out of the original D series of modules for AD&D that I played through over forty years ago.  

 Sweet fancy Moses, I'm old.

 

Specimen 165b

The Real Schlitzie returns to our pages with this fantastic mounted specimen of Lucanidae Chiroptera.  It's a physical recreation of the artist Sam Rowan's work.  There's a lot to like here, but I'm in awe of the wings.  That's next level work.

Larval Nature Spirit

Nothing quite like a fat, veiny grub with a human face to kick the creep factor up.  This larval nature spirit comes to us from artist Ahu Cokol.

Blogger Photo Dump

 According to an email I just received, Google is shutting down their Album Archive on Monday, 6/19 (Actually 7/19, see below).  Apparently, that could result in every photo here on Propnomicon vanishing.  Forever.  I didn't realize photos uploaded here were actually stored there, but that seems to be the case.

Needless to say, the situation has me in a bit of a panic.  I've uploaded literally thousands of photos since the blog started, and the thought of losing it all isn't pleasant.  Hopefully, I'm misunderstanding the situation.  At this point, all I can suggest is archiving any content you want to keep by Monday.  I'm trying to save as much as I can using Google's tools, but it's a lot of stuff.

I'll refresh this post as soon as I hear more.

Update:  I've saved the photos and I'm currently archiving the entire site using Google Takeout.  Fingers crossed that when Monday rolls around all this is unnecessary. 

 Update 2:  Turns out, they're clearing the albums on 7/19.  In my defense, I normally get up at around 3 AM, so I can be a little fuzzy by 8 PM at night.

Mille Cuirs is one of the very few artists offering the ultimate fantasy prop- a custom grimoire complete with fully illustrated interior pages.  I can only imagine the hours upon hours of work it took to put this fantastic piece together.

 

From the Mountains of Madness

Found in Miskatonic University, and catalogued as “Specimen ATMOM1936”, this object is believed to be a portion of the carvings described by Dr. William Dyer. Featuring strange figures, which some have suggested to be an “Elder Thing” with a “Shoggoth.”

Professor B. of Eldritch Provisions brings us this intriguing fragment of a stone carving recovered by the ill-fated Dyer expedition to Antarctica.
