Bill Henar brings us this intriguing artifact bearing the Elder Sign.  Amazingly, it's actually a high-end fidget spinner.  I thankfully avoided getting caught up in that fad, but the coolness of this design is enough to make me reconsider.

Great Cthulhu

The arrival of spring has apparently triggered a record crop of Cthulhu sculpts.  The latest one comes to us from artist Cyprian Chorociej.

Stone Cthulhu Idol

When it comes to realism you can't beat real stone.  Curionomicon brings us this primitive Cthulhu idol hand carved from soapstone.

Cthulhu Fhtagn! Sainz Edition.

I really like this take on the traditional Cthulhu idol from Artist David R. Sainz.  It does a good job of capturing the basics of Lovecraft's original sketch without too slavishly reproducing the clumsier details.

At first blush, you wouldn't expect a fantastic piece of Mythos art from an artist using the moniker SueZ Q.  Yet here we are.  She brings us this commissioned Cthulhu sculpt, currently available as a resin casting.

Adorable Cthulhu

One of the biggest issues with the works of H.P. Lovecraft, and the genre of cosmic horror as a whole, is how difficult it is to draw in new fans.  People don't want to be reminded that they're insignificant before the might and power of cosmic forces beyond their understanding.  It's just depressing!

That's why I love seeing things like this gaggle of adorable Cthulhu figures from Mystic Reflections.  It makes the Mythos so much more accessible to the mainstream, and isn't that what we really need?
