Wooden Dragonpriest Mask

Artist Corroder666 brings us this recreation of the wooden dragonpriest mask from Skyrim.  The sculpt does an excellent job of reproducing the wood of aged wood in resin.

Artist Tomas Barcelo brings us the "Polyhedron Astrolabe", an intriguing faux-artifact.

 

 

Great Cthulhu

 Van Helsing brings us his Cthulhu icon, available as-is or as a mounted trophy.

 

Orc Head

This grotesque battle trophy of an orc head on a pike comes to us from Dustin Drerup of the appropriately named Beastcraft Props.

 

Tuck and Seal Letter Lock

Another interesting demonstration of period correspondence from the Letterlocking Videos channel on YouTube.  This time it's a recreation of the traditional tuck and seal technique used by poet Phillis Wheatley in a 1772 letter to her friend Obour Tanner.  The seal is relatively simple, making it perfect for in-game prop letters.  On interesting tidbit I came across is that the use of wafers is only appropriate for missives to friends and those of equal or lower class.  Messages to those higher on the social scale required a wax seal.

Cthulhu Tome

Another stunning example of tomecrafting from artist Alex Libris.  His "Cthulhu journal" features the sigil created for the Simon Necronomicon back in 1977.

Ordacraft returns to our pages with this pair of shaman's necklaces, one bearing the neolithic spiral symbol and the other the Norse vegvisir.

The Amulet of Kings

The Amulet of Kings is one of the defining artifacts from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, featuring in the entire main quest line from the first scene to the last.  This detailed reproduction comes to us Arsynal Props.

 

The Mad God

Valara Atran returns to our pages with her amazing Dagoth Ur costume.  Considering the character's importance to Morrowind and the Elder Scrolls series as a whole I'm genuinely surprised this is the only costuming effort I'm aware of.

Samhain Propworks returns to our pages with an excellent tutorial on creating prop laboratory specimen bottles.  It includes a link to a sheet of free printable labels sized for a variety of glass containers.

Great Cthulhu

This nicely done Cthulhu sculpt comes to us from artist Danny Burlingham.

 

Triangular Letter

Why would someone send a triangular letter?  Because they're a Mason.

The Letterlocking Channel has an interesting look at the folding technique used for an invitation to a Masonic event in 1796.  Beyond the relevance for historical tabletop RPGs, this would be a neat quirk for the letters from an NPC.  It is, of course, needlessly complex, but that's one of the reasons it's cool.

The Directory

We've featured custom tomes from Mille Cuirs dozens of times, but this piece takes it to a whole new level.  The Directory features a fully illustrated interior in addition to their outstanding binding.  I'd love to find out more about the inspiration for the contents.
