

The backstory behind this wonderful prop is appropriately insane, but suprisingly believable when you consider the things the real Howard Hughes was actually involved in. To this day there are people convinced he was part of everything from Area 51 to the demolition of the secret Nazi base in Antarctica using a miniature nuke.

Too bad they used a "Kern" caning jar - kinda ruins the scientific aspect. The prop itself and housing is very good. Why not go all out and secure a higher end specimen jar?

I thought exactly the same thing at first, but then I realized it was probably an intentional choice as part of it's presentation as an art object. The artist clearly has excellent sculpting and fabrication skills.
