This project from artist Fred Burdy is amazing.
This was a storytelling experiment, in the creation of a prop that tells the story and is part of it too. The pages were created in 2D, then print, anged and bound in a leather journal. Many secondary props (maps, train and boat tickets, a full American Passport) were similarly digitally created, then printed and aged. A small amulet was created in polymer clay. Lastly, a coin from 1920 is in only real element of this prop!
The amount of work that went into "The Things Below", from developing the narrative for the journal to producing all the included ephemera, is just stunning. You really need to click through and check out the full gallery of images to appreciate it.
