Loot

Meliadhor brings us this fun little prop tableaux. The gemstones and coins are authentic, while the scroll is a LARP prop.

That is a nice collection indeed. The chunks of amber are nice as are the coins. I see a nice Roman coin with Romulus and Remus suckling from the she wolf and nice selection of medieval silver coins. It’s probably a Constintine the Great, although the motif appears on other issues. There appears to be an coin from Uturquids of Mardin (central Turkey) from the early 1200s, in the upper right but it’s hard to say. Other than the stray roman, most of the pieces seem to be in the time range of the first quarter of the 1200s through about 1500s. The little silver pennies are hard for me to identify without a clear view. The goat headed amulet is very nice too. But it goes to show that by mixing real items with props can add credibility to a display. A very nice hoard indeed! I’m curious about the contents of the scroll.

I've used doubloons, from Mardi Gras, but these look much better.

Very nice!
