The Worm Shall Turn
My love of nasty worm-things is no secret. After seeing this video I immediately ordered some 5mm rare earth magnets, because the squirming worm effect is so disturbing. Like all great magic tricks the technique is simple (multiple magnets glued to an irregular cam), but has a myriad of possible uses.

That is so awesome.
Worms have always frightened me, ever since I watched a movie about them crawling under people's skin. It was during the 70s, on a Saturday afternoon Creature Double Feature. Ah, to be a kid again.

Yes! It was Squirm. I've been racking been my brain since this morning for the title.
Ahhh, Squirm. First time, I couldn't sit through the entire thing. :)
i emailed this video to my mother. Every year she fills her yard with plastic skeletons, and sheet-ghosts to the point where it looks super hokey (but scares the crap out of 2 and 3 year olds).
I've been encouraging her to reduce the number of skeletons and ghosts, and concentrate on spooking the older kids in her neighborhood. She loved the video, and said shes going to talk to my dad about seeing what they can rig up.
I'm 'favouriting' this video so I can come back to it myself, and adding it to the idea list for an Innsmouth inspired event I'm working on for next year.
Well, large worms crawling on (or from) a corpse could be animated by armature wires or pneumatic hoses....
If portions of the armature wire are not stiff but springy (flexibly jointed), and it is *rotated* at the base, the twisting of the worm might be non-repetitive, improving the effect.
