This nicely done Cthulhu plaque comes to us from artist Maarten Verhoeven. It reminds me of some of H.R. Giger's designs for Alien. In the original script the alien eggs were found in a temple lined with carvings depicting the life cycle of the xenomorph. That concept, and artwork based off Giger's originals, would get recycled in Alien vs. Predator and Prometheus.
