To the Mountains of Madness

Terry Dyer brings us something I never thought I would see- a customized 12" action figure of William Dyer from "At the Mountains of Madness".   It really hits all my buttons, since I was a huge action scale collector back in the 90s and early 2000s.

It IS awesome and I don't mean to quibble but it needs a few items to me. If I remember "mountains" like I think I do they "took photographs till their film and flash bulbs held out" or words to that effect. Then they sketched for awhile. I would think some sort of field camera rig and noticeable writing material in the satchel? Again it's just nit-picking and I could even be remembering the story wrong!

Thanks for putting my pictures on. :)
These pics show Dr. Dyer as he'd be at base camp or on the ship ride home. I'm working on an outfit that he'd be wearing while exploring the ruined city. I'll be sure to share when I'm done.

@ bea

One of the great things about 1/6 scale is that you can continually layer the level of accessories. If Mr. Dyer is anything like the collectors I know I suspect he's just begun.

@ Terry Dyer

I can't wait to see it. If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

I've already begun collecting and making props to display with the good doctor. ;) I plan on making a copy of one of the Anartic maps on here to go with several other "artifacts" from the expedition. Thanks for the inspiration and kind words.
