Signs, Signs, Everywhere a Sign

Nonconformity brings us this Elder Sign signet ring.  Like a growing number of Mythos items it was designed on a computer and then printed out at Shapeways.  The impressed wax seal is pretty cool.

It’s quite nice and the design possibilities are really great when using the computer design system and then production through a computer-capable rendering system. It’s a lot less problematic in making multiple variations of items, but a good deal less hands on than the lost wax system. Clearly this is the way of the future for those who don’t have hot metal casting capabilities. My only chuckle is that Shapeways seems to think that bronze and brass are semiprecious, although I do like the multiple materials and finishes available on order from sandstone, plastic to metals. Designing by computer coupled with the ability for limited runs, really make for an economic and flexible way to produce props and jewelry.

Where is the elder sign? All I see is a Derleth Pentagram. Is it on the inside?

For the other elder sign, I think it would be engraved on the band, used in the manner of cylinder seals.
