Preserved Shrunken Head

Artist Tom Kuebler brings us this incredibly detailed tsanta.  The base sculpt features some well done texture work, but it's the punched hair that really makes the piece.

His work is quite good, especially the implanted hair. The facial features are well formed and each has individual character. Generally though, on originals, the eyes are also sewn shut and the nostrils and ears are plugged. They also have a nice beef jerky look and texture due to the smoking process.

He also did an excellent life-sized version of H.P. Lovecraft himself: http://www.tskuebler.com/gallery/classics_legends/lovecraft/index.htm
