The Paper Trail

Puriri deVry brings us this nifty trail of clues for a "Call of Cthulhu" game. I always thought insane conspiracy theories backed up with a wall of newspaper clippings were the perfect embodiment of the modern Mythos. Then newspapers started to die. Now I guess it's whackadoodle blogs and Tumblr sites where that bizarre connect-the-dots nuttiness is found.

A few print outs from those blogs could work too!

Awesome! I love crazy paper clues! Now we just have to pin them all over the walls like a crazy person! Yesss! Insane Interior Decorating 101!

Actually, I might have to do a series of posts based on insane interior decor from movies. Sounds like fun! Let me know if you have any good suggestions. :)

Faux newspaper clippings, conveniently found journals, magazine articles, and demented scribbling are the very foundation of a paper trail that can only lead to horror, despair, and madness. What else makes a game worth playing?

Crazy thing! I'm the guy who made this! I'm running my Call of Cthulhu game over skype so I thought it would be fun to stage a few clues instead of just emailing them handouts.

The book there is actually a copy of Lovecraft stories and in one of the other photos there is a book of Robert E. Howard's writings. All the newspaper clippings came from the day I took the photos, tho' I tried to pick them so they would seem connected. One is a list of horoscopes, an article on a recent murder, etc. The background is the interior of my uncle's garage.
