The Mörkergubbe
"Mörkergubbe is a magical creature, that is steeped in centuries of mystique and dark science. These creatures were believed to possess arcane knowledge that granted them supernatural powers to command and control the forces of nature. And Mörkergubbe yet practice these lost arts, from ancient times often helping the human alchemists in philosophical and protoscientific tradition to purify, mature, and perfect certain objects."
The gifted Alice Tochylovska returns to our pages with one of the few surviving Mörkergubbe. You really need to click through and check out the entire gallery of pictures.

Household Devil
A khovanets, or house devil, has a lot in common with a house elf. Like them, it brings good fortune and luck to the master of the house. What makes it different is that it steals all that prosperity from the neighbors. This particular specimen comes to us from the talented Alisa Tochylovska.

Green
"The distance from our house to the forest is about 20 meters. My little brother and sister often play there with the neighbour's children, but they never go deep into the thicket.
Once I heard my sister screaming right from the forest, she called for help, because brother was mired in the swamp. It took me minutes to reach them, but when I got there, I found them both standing silent on the bank of the swamp. Brother was in mud up to his neck, breathing heavily. That evening I asked my sister what had she seen. Sister said only one word: "Green"
"Green?" I repeated. "What's Green?"
I asked her over and over, but it seemed like the little girl couldn't explain it. She simply covered her eyes with her hands, shook her head and repeated: "Green...Green...Green"
The fae are capricious and cruel, but when properly appeased their favor can be invaluable. The gifted Alice Tochylovska returns to our pages with one such example, the wood spirit known simply as "Green". Click through for more of the lore and a full gallery of photographs.

Bottled Mandrake Root
This is my favorite time of year. I have fond memories of visiting my grandmother's house as she canned the huge amount of produce she harvested from her garden. Sadly, or luckily depending on your point of view, she never bottled up anything like this creepy little mandrake root from Alice Tochylovska.

Kitsune Death Eater Mask
This Death Eater Kitsune mask once belonged to the mysterious Furuhayashi Kasumi, the great dark sorceress and my teacher of the dark arts. The mask was inherited by me with a deep honor as the only student of Furuhayashi-sensei after her death. Sensei was an incredibly powerful master of magical arts, but as a Death Eater, many of her deeds were malfeasant and nightmarish. After a while, I noticed the tear-shaped patina drips began to appear on the mask. As told by Furuhayashi-sensei in her last letter, by Japanese tradition the warrior's mask not only covers the face, but also, possesses a spirit of it's past owner, which will help the new owner to win any battle, striking terror into the hearts of enemies. But instead, it became absolutely clear to me - the teacher's mask is weeping with tears of grief and remorse for the crimes committed during her lifetime.
Alisa Tochylovska returns to our pages with this wonderfully patinated Kitsune Death Eater mask.

"Usually the magic of trolls is bound to the very essence of nature and is directed towards perfection of both visible and invisible worlds. But amongst the trolls that practice magic there is one rare exception – a Sorcerer troll, who chose the path that lies through darkness."
The gifted Alisa Tochylovska returns to our pages with this sorcerer troll. Do yourself a favor and open up the full-sized image. The level of detail is just amazing.
