This intriguing Cthulhu idol cum incense burner comes to us from artist James Groman. I expect reactions to the piece are going to be very polarized. The sculpt is a bit too much of a caricature for my taste, a problem exacerbated by the garish paint job. Subtle, it ain't. That said, I imagine it would look quite nice with a patinated bronze or gunmetal finish.

I agree with you! I think it would look amazing in bronze or gunmetal.
I respect his work immensely but this looks like a Cthulhu you'd see on Rick and Morty. No disrespect, just not my cup of tea.
