Cthulhu Fhtagn! Hickman Edition.

Stephen Hickman occupies a unique place in Mythos art history.  He created the Cthulhu idol released in a limited edition of 2000 pieces by Bowen Designs back in 1999.  It was the very first mainstream release of Lovecraftiana, and to this day it's one of the genre's most sought after pieces. 

His latest piece revisits that original Cthulhu idol sculpt.  He's making it available through a Kickstarter drive that just went live.

Scroll of the Black Pharaoh

"And at the last from inner Egypt came
The strange dark One to whom the fellahs bowed;
Silent and lean cryptically proud [...]
Throngs pressed around, frantic for his commands, [...]
While through the nations spread the awestruck word
That wild beasts followed him and kicked his hands."

This intriguing Scroll of the Black Pharaoh was recovered by a Miskatonic University expedition to Egypt's Valley of the Kings.  The rough translation of the contents comes to us from Ion Ander Art.

Cthulhu Fhtagn! Akao Edition.

This cool Cthulhu idol sculpt comes to us from Japanese collectible company Gecco Corp.  It was created by artist Shinya Akao as the master for an upcoming run of vinyl coin banks.

Great Cthulhu

Yaox Tribal Art brings us this WIP shot of their Cthulhu plaque.  I really like how they incorporate the cups and spirals motifs of Bronze Age standing stones.

The Yuggoth Stele

The talented Jason McKittrick returns to our pages with this intriguing artifact recovered by Prof. Wilmarth of Miskatonic University in 1928. The so-called "Yuggoth Stele" was found at an unknown location in Vermont.

Innsmouth Harbormaster
