Fallout NCR Ration Pack

For years, Hero Rations has been catering to the World War II historical reenactor market with a highly regarded line of reproduction battlefield rations.  Now they've branched out into producing a line of field rations for Fallout factions.  The first is for the New California Republic, with Vault-Tec and Brotherhood of Steel variations in the pipeline.

Terminal Simulator

Over the last few years there's been an absolute explosion in the number of digital props.  I'm talking about software and online resources that allow you to recreate digital services like messaging, bulletin boards, texts, etc. for an online game.  The latest is this terminal simulator from Ties that Bind Gaming.  It allows you to give players an immersive computer experience recreating the look of classic text on black computer systems.  It's absolutely perfect for a Delta Green campaign.

Best Ways to Start Your Journey into Madness

Looking for an adventure suitable for new Call of Cthulhu players? Seth Skorkowsky's latest video collects five beginner friendly scenarios from the dozens he's reviewed over the years.  They're all relatively short, designed to be run in just one or two sessions.  Even better, you'll find extensive notes and resources on running them in Seth's dedicated review videos.

The man is a treasure.  You should really be following him.

Julien Hatswell Cthulhu Idol

Welcome to Mythos Monday, something I hope will become a regular feature.  Over the years I've accumulated quite an assemblage of Lovecraftiana and props, but I've never actually shown much of it.  Today we start with the excellent Cthulhu idol from Julien Hatswell, which is simultaneously one of the newest and oldest pieces in my collection.

Tools of the Trade

McCormick Wands returns to our pages with another selection of their excellent handmade wands.  Unfortunately, because of the current Canadian tariff schedule they can't ship to the United States.  I sincerely hope that situation is resolved soon.

Steamship Ticket Generator

I am continually impressed by the ethos of sharing and mutual support in the Mythos community.  The latest example is a free tool from programmer Michael Ghelfi that automatically generates period steamship tickets between any two destinations.  It's a pretty impressive piece of work.  From his announcement on Reddit:

"I kept hand-waving travel in my 1920s games. When I wanted better, I spent an evening in Photoshop making a mediocre ticket.

So I built a thing that stops the hand-waving.

You give it a departure, a destination and a date between 1920 and 1939. It works out the actual sailing, the vessel, the door-to-door duration and the fare per class, then prints the papers the way a clerk would have filled them: a ticket per company on the route, the itinerary, a baggage label, a landing card, a passenger list.

The point is that none of it is filled in by hand. It runs on a real network, with fixed sailing days, boat trains, canal transits and night stops. Fares come out in pounds, dollars, francs, lire or guilders at that year's rate. Class names shift across the decade, because they did. And Arkham, Innsmouth, Kingsport and Dunwich sail from Boston.

Every leg of Masks of Nyarlathotep is in there, so the campaign's itinerary comes out of it as is.

Free, no account: generate, download as PNG for your VTT, or share a link that rebuilds the document exactly. Atlas and travel guide included. Our Patreon tier adds your NPCs on the passenger list, 300 dpi print PDFs and a saved dossier library.

There's a FoundryVTT module too.

The data is hand-curated and the documents are calculated, not AI-generated. That applies to all our apps and audio.

Have fun, Keepers"

Idol of Dagon

Ukrainian artist Petro Petrovsky of Petrovsky Gargoyles brings us this nicely done idol of Dagon.  It's a great sculpt elevated by excellent weathering.  It really does look like something you would see displayed behind glass at a museum.

Metabolic Engine 01

This piece serves as a demonstration that something can be incredibly disturbing without a hint of gore.  In fact, I think Metabolic Engine 01 from sculptor Giusy Amoroso is incredibly beautiful.  It's also absolutely horrific.

Back to 1969

Over on Reddit, 27-Staples has released their handouts for the classic"Tatters of the King" Call of Cthulhu scenario, but a version time-shifted to 1969.  Given what transpires with the King in Yellow, the year of Woodstock, Chappaquiddick, the moon landing, and the Manson murders is an inspired choice.  Can you dig the Yellow Sign?
