High Elf Helmet

I shudder to think how many hours of work went into this High Elf helmet from Artist Tiim Välimaa. The basic structure was built up using foam and fiberglass over a steel helmet. The surface was then painstakingly finished in leather.

Elves ! I just about spit out my coffee. This post today, made Nyarlathotep cry. Do have any idea how hard it is to make the dark pharaoh shed tears !?!

That is an amazing build. On a more Cthonian note, I'd like to see a crown of Nyarlathotep based on the crown of Egypt.

This photo and its associated links should be sent to WETA, the New Zealand-based prop-smithy for Peter Jackson's Tolkien films.

One of these years, he, or someone, is going to get around to doing The Silmarillion....

Designs like this, for the elves of Valimar? Oh yes. Oh definitely yes.
