Forgive me for commenting about something that has nothing to do with this particular blog post, but this truly awesome:

What if Lewis Carroll was a pan-dimensional traveler and collected some fine specimens?

Love the carving by the way. Slightly rugged, less refined and yet mysterious. I'm tired of seeing romanesque sculptures of Cthulhu.

Thank you!

The haunting skull-like eyes are what make this one. Like Raindog said, theres something very primordial about it.

Primordial indeed. I wonder if anybody has made any pseudo Ice Age/Paleolithic type Chtonian artifacts. Imagine something abhorrent carved into reindeer horn or mastodon tusk.

Consider a shoggoth venus figure found in an ice age cave. When you explore deeper in you find the disturbing cave paintings. You go father and farther and find even more frightening suggestions of something deeper in the bowels of the cave.
