Curious devices, forbidden artifacts, mysterious creatures, and intriguing documents.
It’s an interesting fusion piece with an Egyptian eye of Horus pendant superimposed on some hieroglyphs and Cretian looking collar, which looks like it was produced with a rolling cylinder seal impression. The cylinder seal look is nice touch and he detail is amazing here. The eye looks a good deal like faience, and the rest of it has a nice ancient bronze patina which isn’t an easy effect to master. A pretty good article on Egyptian eye iconography along with some useful photoshttp://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/eyeofhorusandre.htm One source of patinas at Sculpt Nouveau http://www.sculpt.com/catalog_98/patina/rypatinas.htm Some examples on how they can be used http://littleyellowbarn.com/2013/07/sculpt-nouveau-metal-coating-paint/ Cylinder seals https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cylinder_seal
I like it.
Wow, that looks great!
