What a wonderful piece of understated elegance! I’m not sure if I like the wand or the storage box best. Crafters might also consider pyrography, which was popular for a century but now mostly ignored as an art form. Early works are collectable under the title of “tramp art” but that is really an injustice to the technique. An old wood cigar box, in the hands of a master could become a piece of art. It’s well worth exploring as a possible decorative technique for wood.
