I like this version of a Chtulhu statuette. Jade is really hard to simulate as a painted finish given the translucent portions and the refractive properties of this hard stone. A thick coat of gloss over the work would give it a highly polished look and a bit of depth. The following article is more about polymer clay rather than for finishing, but it might be of help in those hoping to simulate jade in their works.http://books.google.com/books?id=RrLhMWu_ArYC&pg=PA91&lpg=PA91&dq=simulating+jade+with+paint&source=bl&ots=F9XEBEGv4G&sig=q-ish_zHzjzx8vcS5nKAbIjazOc&hl=en&sa=X&ei=CZ-gUvDiNYzpkQeQ64CoAg&ved=0CFkQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=simulating%20jade%20with%20paint&f=falseAlso: http://www.good-night-irene.com/mywork.html
