The Silver Skull

Rick LaRue brings us this fantastic silver-gilt human skull.  All the materials are authentic, including the skull.  It's a really interesting spin on the traditional kapala skull that, at least to me, hearkens to the "brazen head" of occult history. This would be the centerpiece of any collection.

Wow! It's hard to say anything about work of this caliber. Stunning. I'll just sit here and drool.

On the subject of the legality of individuals owning human remains:

An important point is the source of the remains, but the real question is: Is it ethical? Mind you the veneration of human remains for religious purposes is quite ancient and as modern as reliquaries and holy relics in several contemporary religions. Saved baby teeth or an umbilical cord is commonly done here in the US. Human hair is sold for art or craft purposes – see hair art in a Google search some time. I suppose a lot has to do with your home culture.
