UndertakingFX has this nifty little Cthulhu idol available on Etsy. I'm normally loathe to link to Etsy, it being the master hive from whence the Cute-thulhu infestation emanates, but I really like the quality of the sculpt. It captures the look of a primitive soapstone carving, with a definite "Venus of Willendorf" vibe.

That figure has a lot of character. I am reminded of some of the earliest European chess pieces http://history.chess.free.fr/first-european.htm I do agree that it does resemble some of the late paleo and early Neolithic figurines but it doesn’t match the power of the seated woman of Çatal Hüyük, which I viewed in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara.
Sorry, the figure is at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, not the Ethnographic museum. It's been 20 years since I have been there.
Thanks! We really appreciate it!
And bravo the multiple eyes -- spiderlike, major and minor -- for that extra alien effect, faithful to HPL's own drawing.
