Cthulhu Fhtagn! Mellies Edition.
The gifted Florian Mellies brings us this fantastic Cthulhu idol. There's so much to like here, from the mix of textures to the truly alien feel of the sculpt. Mr. Mellies consistently creates some of the best Lovecraftian props in the hobby.
This is a good piece of work. I like the attention to detail such as the barnacles and the overall ambiguousness of the (what looks to be) head. You really can’t tell what is front or back with the multiple eyes or what looks likes bleeding sockets or breathing slits.
It has a great application of paint/glaze with a superb textural finish Very alien. I just wish people would post a bit more about their art such as size, composition & etc. on their web sites. I’m actually that interested in art.

Love it.
I'm always thrilled to see someone depart from the bog standard 'man with an octopus head' figure.
