Mummified Vampire Heart

I love seeing alternate takes on subjects I've done myself.  In this case, Levi Combs of Planet X Games shares his version of a mummified vampire heart.  That includes a look at how he actually made it:

"I found the box at a yard sale. Got the heart from a Halloween Express and then coated it with multiple layers of adhesive and ash from my fireplace to give it a withered color/texture/look. The pages were taken from a small book inside the Hellboy Special Edition DVD."
Reproducing the texture of very old mummified body parts using layers of ash is a brilliant idea.

I purchased your 'Hellbound Heart' prop a decade ago and it remains to this day one of the finest (and most attention grabbing) props in my collection.

I actually have a number of the props you've sold over the years and love them all. Noble Knight had a warehouse sale a few years ago and I was fortunate enough to pick up a number of your pieces there.

Any chance that you might create any new eldritch oddities and post them on eBay? I've always wanted to get one of your Ammonite Cthulhu idols for my collection. Any chance you'd consider a commission?

Thank you for all the work you've done over the years on Propnomicon. It is the first site I look at every morning when I start my computer. Such a great way to start the day!

Thank you for the very kind words. I think you'll be very happy with what happens over the next few months.

I've been waiting with baited breath to find out what you had in mind regarding your plans for "what happens over the next few months". Do you still have something planned? Care to give me a hint as to what it might entail?

Also, I'd love to see photos of your personal collection. My guess is that a lot of it is set up as fantastic tableaus or other curious groupings. I bet many other of your fans would love to see some of your collection as well. Could we get a peek or two?

Thanks again for all your hard work with Propnomicon over the years. You've set my mind racing so many times with the dark, forbidden things you've hosted here. I hope you plan to keep it up for many years to come.
