Cthulhu Pendant
Vallhallarts brings us this nicely done Cthulhu pendant carved from real mother of pearl. I love polymer clay and resin pieces, but appropriate natural materials take Mythos works to a whole new level.
I like the fact that it’s really mother of pearl as well. The style of this pendant is also evocative of several cultures: Viking, Northwest Amerind, and South Sea Island cultures all seem to jump out at me. That makes the item much more flexible as a prop. I also have to say it also makes me thing of the gigantic figures on the Plain of Nazca figures of South America. For those who want to try their hand at carving mother of pearl, you can buy sheets of the real material on the internet.
