Great Cthulhu

Sean M. George brings us this impressive Cthulhu figure, a class project at a special effects school.  I was going to call it "full size", but a moments reflection made it obvious that would be a mistake.  At a guess I'd say it's a miniature in 1:144 scale.  Heh.

This might be a bit inductive, but does that mean 'life size' Cthulhu is around 864 ft tall?

Suit looks awesome :D

Who'd've guessed that Great Cthulhu was a placental mammal.

@ Joseph White

That's my guess.

@ Dre

Heh. It would be even more disturbing if it wasn't a bellybutton, but a maw.

@ Mystic Scholar
I'd love to see it used to film a Godzilla-style short.

A bit under a fifth of a mile tall strikes me as a little small for Great Cthulhu; it's big, yes, but not sanity-snappingly big, and I would postulate a minimum height of at least a kilome...um, of at least...

Or I could, y'know, actually comment on the splendid workmanship here, rather than quibbling over the height of a fictional monster. It's maybe a bit humanoid for my liking, but on the other hand I really like the half-claw half-pad feet. I wonder if he's planning to add wings sometime in the future?
