FYI: I "purchased this on 2 Mar 16. It had a ship date of 13 April. Long, but o.k., sometimes props take time. I contacted him around 10 April just to see what was up, he referred me to the ship date. As of 22 April I had to contact him again and open an Etsy case (just to be safe) and said my ideal resolution was to get the idol. He cancelled and refunded wasting a MONTH of my time. There are ALLOT of Cthulhu idol scammers out there. I'm not saying he's a scammer, but I personally wasted a month and my trust on him.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I've generally been very lucky when it comes to follow through with idol projects. That said, it doesn't hurt to ask the artist if they have the product in-hand and ready to ship before pulling the trigger. So many creative people get into trouble because they start taking orders without having finished product ready to go.
