Cthulhu Fhtagn! Koi and Soles Edition
Artists Ann Koi and Jason Soles bring us this cast resin Cthulhu statue. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I believe it served as the model for an illustration in one of the books from the short-lived D20 Cthulhu line.
Looks like it shows up on page 213. They also created the cover as well as various other pieces throughout the book. I thought their sculptures intermingled with other illustrations and paintings gave the d20 Call of Cthulhu book a very cool and unique vibe.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree about the look of the d20 line. The system may not have been ideal, but the layout and art was very nice.
Definitely a sitting-back-to-rest pose, rather than a leaning-forward-to-pounce pose....
ReplyDeleteNo doubt digesting a nice meal of Terrified Mariners, after a busy day on quickly rising and sinking R'lyeh.
