The first post on Alex Kaeda's new blog features some classic era anxiety medication- smokes and a matchbook from Arkham Sanitarium. The mysterious fires of 1921, 1927, 1934, and 1937 are now more understandable.
The very talented "anniv111701" sent over links to a selection of Sanitarium business cards available on Google Docs here and here. Interactive versions that allow you to customize the entries are in the works.
I love the business cards!
ReplyDelete@ anniv111701: I second Alex's opinion!
ReplyDeleteUm, on version A, could I suggest slightly increasing the size of the small print, for legibility? Not so much that the white space in the middle disappears, but just short of that?
Oh, cigarettes! I did this many years ago, and will prolly update it as a PDF if there's interest, but: http://home.pacific.net.au/~drjon/morleys.html
ReplyDeleteHi Raven,
ReplyDeleteGee, it looked okay when I had it blown up bigger than my head...
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I completely agree with you, the print is waay too small & there's just too much white space...
I sent the interactive PDFs to Oakree with your suggested changes (well, mostly; the text looked crowded when I enlarged it too much, so I split the difference and dropped the shield & title each down a bit to kill the white space - lemme know what you think.)
Thanks again!
Mike
Thank you, Mike / anniv111701: the enlarged print on the interactive version A(2) is much more legible, yes.
ReplyDeleteMoving the shield and title toward the center was also a very good change, I think. The whole design looks stronger now.
Thank you! They are great :)
ReplyDeleteWhere can I find the interactive one?
