Another "At the Mountains of Madness" Prop Photo

Technically, there's no way this photo could have been taken, but I'm still inordinately proud of it.

    One of the advantages of the Dornier Wal's amphibious nature is that the entire hull is a giant ski. It can land on snow or water with equal ease.

    Actually, Lovecraft specifically mentioned that the planes have skis in the text.
