The headings I did a little different so they could be read by players.<br /><br />As for the wrong justification, it totally slipped my mind. Now I just tell uppity players it was written back ways to protect the secrets. It was really failure on my part to do all my research ahead of time.Brandon Petriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10708918579807380856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423050459919800481.post-59357882611357023092011-12-15T17:07:38.420-08:002011-12-15T17:07:38.420-08:00The lines are left-justified, showing that the tex...The lines are left-justified, showing that the text is written left-to-right (like English) rather than right-to-left (like Arabic).<br /><br />A word-beginning pattern that looks like the English letters "fac" recurs frequently throughout the text. But what follows do not look like English words. Possibly Latin, e.g. "facilla."Ravenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17974090948640572660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423050459919800481.post-15498755091186477742011-12-12T12:01:16.363-08:002011-12-12T12:01:16.363-08:00It's difficult to tell from the photograph, bu...It's difficult to tell from the photograph, but I think it's English printed using Arabic characters. The chapter heading looks like 'Glyph of Calling' to me. If so, this would be a fantastic LARP prop, allowing a character in the know to 'read' a translation from the 'Arabic' script.Kephas Squaredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05199080208535005119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423050459919800481.post-29007019087257430232011-12-11T14:25:51.774-08:002011-12-11T14:25:51.774-08:00Just in time for Christmas.Just in time for Christmas.Kelly Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01752857506190488860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423050459919800481.post-36315265190055354722011-12-11T07:59:42.265-08:002011-12-11T07:59:42.265-08:00I’m curious if the text is a grimore, a lifted tex...I’m curious if the text is a grimore, a lifted text or simply just transliteration of English into Arabic script. For grimores written in Arabic, you can choose from a few writing antique styles that are really beautiful. Calligraphy was raised up to the highest of art forms under the Muslims in the middle ages. I specifically like the cubic style of Kufic calligraphy.
