Cyberpunk 2077 LARP Safe Shotgun
The recent announcement Cyperpunk 2077 would be delayed until November hasn't dampened my enthusiasm in the least. I'm a huge fan of CD Projekt Red's Witcher video game series and can't wait to see their take on Mike Pondsmith's creation. I'm also interested in seeing if any of the bioware writeups I did for Chromebook 4 all those years ago end up in the game.
That brings me to this video tutorial from SKS Props on creating a Cyberpunk 2077 shotgun prop. What's really impressive about this project is the fact it's entirely created from EVA foam.

Primitive Cthulhu Idol
This wonderfully weathered primitive Cthulhu idol comes to us from the Infamous Penguin. The finish captures the look of something that's been sitting in an abandoned jungle temple for centuries.

Shrunken Head Gaff
This traditional-style shrunken head gaff comes to us from John Pinkerton of The Monster Sandbox. One of the nice things about using latex for a prop like this is that the rubber shrinks and darkens as it ages, making it more realistic over time.

The Original Tablet Computer
Ireneusz Biernacki brings us this tableaux featuring recreations of medieval bone dice, coins, and a wax writing tablet. Compared to our modern tablets it had limited storage capacity, but it did have the advantage of not requiring an external power source. Well, other than a few hours in bright sunlight to melt down the wax when you really wanted to wipe the memory.

Great Cthulhu
This incredible Great Cthulhu plaque comes to us from artist George Tsougkouzidis. I'd weep for joy if I had just half of his talent.

Talisman of Yig
"It seems that Yig, the snake-god of the central plains tribes—presumably the primal source of the more southerly Quetzalcoatl or Kukulcan—was an odd, half-anthropomorphic devil of highly arbitrary and capricious nature. He was not wholly evil, and was usually quite well-disposed toward those who gave proper respect to him and his children, the serpents; but in the autumn he became abnormally ravenous, and had to be driven away by means of suitable rites."
- The Curse of Yig, By H. P. Lovecraft and Zealia Bishop
The talented Jason McKittrick returns to our pages with his latest Mythos piece- the Talisman of Yig. It goes on sale tomorrow. Just click through the link for details.

Common Talislan Font
This brings back memories. The Common Talislan font was put together by Michael Dolan from the scraps of text included in the various editions of the Talislanta tabletop role-playing game. It's ideal for re-purposing for prop scrolls and documents.
As an aside, it's pretty amazing how much the default Dungeons & Dragons setting has come to resemble the high-entropy, multi-racial milieux that games like Arduin and Talislanta pioneered.

Vampire Hunting Kit
This fun little vampire hunting kit comes to us from Morsoth. Unfortunately, the coolest part of it isn't visible at first glance.
In addition to the usual implements of vampiric destruction the kit includes a collection of paper props including labels, packaging, maps, woodcuts, and a full copy of the "Vampyre Hunter's Handbook". Even better, all of those documents and associated ephemera are available for download. Just click through and scroll through the gallery. Morsoth's generosity is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to bang out a kit of their own.

Elder Thing Starstones
"Have found peculiar soapstone fragment about six inches across and an inch and a half thick, wholly unlike any visible local formation. Greenish, but no evidences to place its period. Has curious smoothness and regularity. Shaped like five-pointed star with tips broken off, and signs of other cleavage at inward angles and in centre of surface. Small, smooth depression in centre of unbroken surface. Arouses much curiosity as to source and weathering. Probably some freak of water action. Carroll, with magnifier, thinks he can make out additional markings of geologic significance. Groups of tiny dots in regular patterns. Dogs growing uneasy as we work, and seem to hate this soapstone."
- H.P. Lovecraft, "At the Mountains of Madness"
These recreations of the soapstone Elder Thing starstones from "At the Mountains of Madness" come to us from Corwin Ravencroft.

Tibetan Dimension Mirror
Lawrence Kelatow brings us this detailed recreation of the Dimension Mirror from the Dutch graphic novel of the same name. Digitally modeled, 3D printed, then molded in silicone and cast in Jesmonite. The crystal is clear polyurethane. You can see more of Mr. Kelatow's prop and makeup work at his website.
